Memorial Weekend!

We've had perfect weekend weather and have spent most of it on the sand. The beach is packed with beautiful ladies and families that have setup camp for the day. I'm still stuck on the beach watching Cody and the Gudauskas bros rip the fun little south swell thats on tap for the weekend. I have been getting in the water and getting my body surf on, it feels great just to get in the water even without a board under me.
Time for an all American cookout this afternoon, with hamburgers and hotdogs....
God Bless America!

luck laster

Since the Nike Lowers Pro things have been a little repetitive around here. Phil is slowly healing from his ankle injury, from a month and a half ago, and Cody has been surfing sloppy beach breaks around San Clemente. Most of our fellow east coasters have traveled back to the homeland for a month before returning for the Grade 3 Jr. pro in Newport, leaving us a bit boredddd.

Each day has become a little more like the last...starting off the morning with a 2 hour internet/coffee/chitchat bullshat. Hit up a local beachy for a couple waves. Stop by the grocery store multiple times daily for food and redbox movies. Wrapping up the day with a little training at the gym then relax in the hottub.

Here are a couple photos of last nights sight seeing mission and quick video of cody at salt creek.
Oh yea there was a horendous earthquake that shook our house for a good 5 seconds, it was the most amusing 5 secs. since we've been here!

VA ->FL ->CA

VA ->FL ->CA
After looking through a million Craigslist posts, we finally found a place worth calling home for the summer, in California. The idea came up on a recent week long trip to huntington for one of many contests on the west coast that we should just stay in california for 3 months. Escaping normality and lack of surf on the east coast we dove straight into the center of the hype and industry in southern California

Welcome to San Clemente, CA We (Cody Thompson and Philip Goold) just drove the 3000 mile voyage across North America from the Right coast to the west coast. After a night at Cody's grandmas in Texas, a 12 pack of 5-hour energy's, and multiple random gas stations of which we saw quite a few characters; we made it to San Clemente where we leased an apartment for 3 months. We don't really know what's in store for us this summer but hopefully California will show us a good time! We want to document our summer and share with the rest of the world. Stay tuned for entertaining stories and videos and whatever the hell else happens.
